 Dosage & Usage Recommendations:-

Dogs: 1 - 4 level teaspoons (depending on size)
Cats: ½ - 1 level teaspoon (depending on size)
Chickens: 2% of feed weight (or 1 teaspoon per chicken)
Horses: 2% of feed weight

Mix with anything moist.  If you usually feed dry food, then add NatureGuard to whatever the animal likes (butter, mayonnaise, mashed potato, soft cheese, egg, syrup, jam, honey etc.).  With chickens, coat their pellets/grain with a little vegetable oil to absorb the powder (although mine like mashed potato!).

As NatureGuard is gentle, natural and non-chemical, a more regular regime is recommended as opposed to the massive-dose “quick fix” of chemical medication.  For the first week, feed the above advised amounts to your animal once a day, thereafter once-a-week should be sufficient as a shield against parasites/pests.  You cannot overdose your pet/animal, as NatureGuard is extremely tolerable even in high quantities.

Also dust NatureGuard onto animals’ coats (monthly); sprinkle in pet beds & animal houses, poultry/avian dust baths, and around the home for a front-line deterrent of fleas, mites, lice, ticks, cockroaches, ants etc.  Brush well into the fur, particularly around the scruff of the neck, down the back and around the base of the tail.  Take care not to get the powder into your animal's eyes.

When using in poultry houses, make sure you dust along the perches (particularly where they meet the sides) inside and under nest boxes (if removable), over the floor and up the walls, making sure all nooks & crannies are covered.  Red mites are particularly disabling to chickens and they soon lose condition and go off laying if there is an infestation in the hen house.  The easiest way is to use a soft hand-brush to work over the surfaces and into the crevices.  As all birds love a dust bath, sprinkling NatureGuard in the areas they like to use is a simple way of ensuring they are covered against mites, fleas & ticks.

NatureGuard also helps rid your home of dust-mite.

Due to its extremely dehydrating nature, it is recommended that gloves be worn if applying large amounts by hand, as it may cause the skin to become dry.
