NatureGuard is a fine powder formed from the fossilized remains of a type of algae called “diatoms” (known as Diatomite) and is 100% natural. It is extremely abrasive and works by making microscopic cuts in the waxy protective outer-shell of parasites, which then dehydrates them. In addition, it attaches itself to their fine hairs so that the cuticles and joints become clogged, making life extremely uncomfortable and ultimately unbearable. However, these diatoms are so microscopic that no harm is done to your pet/animal, which is then completely free from these annoying and potentially dangerous pests.

Diatomite is an EU and Defra approved feed additive (Code E551C) and can be safely fed to all animals for the control of internal parasites (worms etc.), with absolutely no adverse side-effects. Additionally, when dusted on animals’ coats it rids them of fleas, ticks, lice & mites safely, gently and without harmful chemicals. It can also be used around the home and in animals’ beds/kennels/houses as a front line deterrent for a myriad of pests including fleas, ticks, lice, mites, ants, silverfish and cockroaches. Being a non-chemical product, parasites cannot build up any kind of immunity against NatureGuard’s diatomite.

Tested by the Veterinary Laboratories Agency in Addlestone, Surrey, diatomite was found to be 100% effective.

NatureGuard can be used safely for any animal affected by parasites and for the control of numerous pests around the home & garden, including dust mites.

Already thousands of years’ old, diatomite cannot “go off” and therefore NatureGuard can be stored indefinitely.
